Electrification (OLE 3rd Rail)
JSB Rail has steadily improved its capacity to meet the increased demand from the Electrification sector of the railway over the past year or so.
Having worked on the Southern Region Power Upgrade Scheme in 2002/03, we have since invested much time and finance into building up our OHLE and Isolations capacity. This year we successfully completed an OLE survey works programme on WCRM for Network Rail and are currently planning and taking isolations throughout the London North West Territory, WCRM and SWIM. We also retain nominated persons for DC 3rd rail works and isolations.
Our policy regarding staff development and multi-tasking extends to the Electrification Division. Most of our Linemen are trained as Authorised Persons, and our Isolation teams, for instance, often carry out installation works as well.
